Developer Notes

Deemed to be user error

Description

When playing the user's project in editor vs Packaged, there has been different results for the enemy projectiles and how they are shown on the screen. When In editor, any enemy projectile will damage you. When in packaged game. If you stay far enough away, the enemy projectile will pass through you.

If you type in console command Show Collision, you will see that the enemy projectiles do not travel as far as they are shown without Show Collision on.

The user has attached a video to their post. This shows exactly what I have been able to see with their project.

This zip file of the users project is very large: [Link Removed]

Steps to Reproduce

1) Download the Zip file from the link above
2) Once downloaded, unzip the file and place the project into your Unreal Projects folder.
3) Open the project in 4.7.3
4) Once open, play in editor (Be sure to watch the video prior to playing so that you can see what is occurring)
5) Stay a good distance away from the enemy but allow a couple of enemy projectiles to hit the ship (You should be taking damage from them)
6) Exit PIE and then select the dropdown next to Launch from the toolbar.
7) From the dropdown, select the Windows option
8) Once the project opens in the new window, open any level
9) Keep a good distance form the enemy but allow the projectile to hti the ship (No damage should be done to the ship)
10) Also be sure to use Console Command 'Show Collision' so you can see that the projectiles are not traveling as far as they are being shown without show collision on.
