Exporting the UE4 Mannequin to Blender then re-importing to UE4 breaks the animations, causing them to reimport rotated 90 degrees
1. Open Editor (Third Person Template)
2. Export the Mannequin to an FBX (RMB>Export>FBX)
3. Open Blender
4. Import Mannequin FBX to Blender
5. Re-organize bones so that there is only 1 root bone (importing to blender always duplicates root bone)
6. Export from blender with -y forward, z up, scale 100, with animations and uncheck add leaf bones
7. Reimport to UE4 (any project)
8. Open Persona editor
9. View imported animations
Results:
The mesh imports upright, however once an animation starts it will rotate 90 degrees during the animation.
Expected:
Imports correctly and animations remain upright while affecting the skeletal mesh, they should rotate along with the mesh.
