Description

This is not a regression. Tested in //UE5/Release-5.0 CL20979098

The transform of a Virtual Bone can be changed in the Skeleton but isn't preserved this has caused some confusion with users.

Steps to Reproduce
  1. Create a Third Person Template Project
  2. Search for and open SK_Mannequin
  3. Right click in the Skeleton Tree then select Add Virtual Bone > Pelvis
  4. Select the Virtual Bone then in the Details Panel change the Bone Transform
  5. Save then close the asset
  6. Reopen the asset

Expect Results:
Either:

  • The Virtual Bone's transform can not be manipulated as the expected behavior is for it to follow the parent. It should be manipulated with an Animation Blueprint instead.
  • The Transform changes are preserved.

Actual Results:
The Virtual Bone is reset to the parent's position.
