Steps to Reproduce
  1. Create a level sequence and open it.
  2. Add the SK_Manny_Simple skeletal mesh asset as a spawnable by dragging it onto the sequence

RESULT

The Skeletal Mesh Asset in the spawnable's details panel will be None, despite the mesh clearly being SK_Manny_Simple. Compare this to a skeletal mesh added to the level, then tracked in the sequence.
