All entries in the Project Settings window are suppose to be saved in the DefaultEngine.ini file. This does not occur for settings related to Support Agents such as Can Walk, Can Crouch, etc.
Note: This issue is isolated to 4.9 and does not occur in the latest main
1. Create a new project of any type.
2. Navigate to Edit > Project Settings > Navigation System and click the + button beside "Supported Agents" to add a supported agent.
3. Click the arrow on the left side of the "Supported Agents" to expand the settings.
4. Check the "Can Jump" and "Can Walk" boxes.
5. Save the project and close the editor.
6. Navigate to the project folder > Config > DefaultEngine.ini
7. Scroll to the bottom and notice the values of both "Can Jump" and "Can Walk"
Result: Both are set to False
Expected: Both should be set to True
Upon returning to the editor, the settings will also not be saved.
