UGS perforce login does not work with 2FA flow

The perforce login flow for UGS does not properly handle a perforce server using 2FA login flow

Using a Perforce server configured to use 2FA authentication

1. Log out of Perforce
2. Open UGS
3. Click the button to Retry connecting to Perforce
4. Enter your password and click OK to login
5. Interact with the opened webpage to handle the 2fa request
6. Notice that UGS doesn't handle the successful login, and prompts to enter a password to login again.
