Description

When ray-traced shadows are enabled, the shadow for a completely translucent mesh appears when the LOD changes based on distance.

Steps to Reproduce
  1. Open the LVL_ShahdowTest level in the attached sample project
  2. Move the camera backwards in the editor viewport until the torso mesh appears
  3. Move the camera forwards toward until torso mesh disappears

Expected

The torso mesh and shadow disappears and no mesh or shadows are visible

Actual

The torso mesh disappears but the shadow for the shorts appear

 

I have not been able to repro the issue using the Forced Lod Model field of the skeletal mesh.  Setting a value in the Forced Lod Model field makes the shadow go away.
