Ambient Light on Volumetric Clouds from Sky Atmosphere always is calculated as if the clouds are at the north pole of the planet.
Using a sphere-shaped Sky Atmosphere and Volumetric Clouds causes the clouds on the dark side of the planet to glow.
1. Download the Licensee's test project and open (see addl info URL)
2. Open the level /Game/Planet
3. In the Details Panel, find the Static Mesh Actor "North Pole" and focus on it
4. Observe the cloud's color
5. In the Details Panel, find the Static Mesh Actor "Equator" and focus on it
6. Observe that the clouds on the pitch-black side of the planet are still receiving ambient light as if they are at the North Pole.
7. Apply the Licensee's fix from the original post to the function "RenderDistantSkyLightLutCS(...)" from SkyAtmosphere.usf, and repeat steps 3-6
8. Observe that this does fix the ambient light at the equator, but darkens the ambient light at the North Pole.
