Description

Retargeting root motion results in the target animation appearing to "slide" on the ground or "hover" as if hanging from the pelvic bone. This has been reported to be fine in 4.9 but multiple users are reporting this as broken in 4.10 official release (although it was still working in the 4.10 preview according to the author of this AnswerHub post.)

Steps to Reproduce

1. Download and open the project "DJ_Joey" in UE4.10: [Link Removed]
2. See attached image for clarification on which skeletons are being retargeted and in what folders they reside
3. Locate the animation, "agreeing" Content/NewFolder/oldskel
4. Note the original skeleton is "John3_Skeleton" (Which is the same as our Mannequin skeleton)
5. With animation "agreeing" selected, rmb and choose: Retarget Anim Assets: Duplicate Anim Assets and Retarget
6. Select, "finalskeleton2_Skeleton"
7. Open resulting animation: Content/NewFolder/newskel/"agreeing_Copy"
8. RESULT: The animations feet seem to slide around and the skeletal mesh seems to be hanging from the pelvic bone
9, EXPECTED: The animation to function the same as the original with feet planted on the ground
*NOTE: The same experiment can be done with the same animation retargeted to our Mannequin Skeleton which appears virtually identical to the user's original skeleton.
