On key down override not working for UMG

The widget does not appear to grabbing focus or the on key down does not appear to be firing when a key in pressed.

1. Open the Editor
2. Create a new widget blueprint
3. Create an on key down override
4. Create the blueprint in the attached image
5. Save and compile
6. Open level blueprint or character blueprint
7. Create the blueprint in the attached image
8. Save
9. Play in editor
10. Press a key on the key board
11. Notice that nothing prints out

Expected: on key down a the print string would fire off
Result: The print string does not fire
