Description

Some licensees have reported seeing intermittent corruption of runtime virtual texture tiles. This hasn't been reproduced at Epic.

Usually this shows up as some small percentage of rendered tiles looking corrupt. Sometimes this can happen reliably in one area of a game world.

The issue appears to be PC only, and could be hardware/driver specific.

The issue appears to happen more with higher update rates. Limiting PC power using the GeForce Exprerience performance feature can stop the bug.

The following have all been shown to stop the issue:

  • "rhi.UseSubmissionThread=0"
  • -rdgclobberresources
  • -norenderthread
Steps to Reproduce

We don't have a repro case at Epic QA.
