Description

We are running into issues where the parameters of the RigidBody node in an ABP are not being applied at all when running the ABP in PIE even when the parameters are working correctly in the ABP preview window.

If we try overriding the PhysicsAsset on the RigidBody node (which, to be clear, we do NOT want to do as it's making a lot of our real setup through Mutable a lot more complicated) we can get the RigidBody parameters to work but ONLY if we also clear the PA referenced in the SKM (which is even worse).

Steps to Reproduce
  • Create a skeletal mesh with physics assets, for example hair or skirt.
  • Create an ABP that runs a looping animation followed by a RigidBody node.
  • Try to apply a very obvious external force on the RigidBody node (or any of the other advanced parameters)
  • Notice how the external force is being applied in the ABP preview.
  • Place ABP in a level and run.
  • Notice how the external force is NOT being applied in PIE.

Desired outcome: the ability to set any of the RigidBody node parameters to tweak the physics behavior using the default PA asset from the SKM.
