GearVR applications show black screen on Adreno devices

Could not repro it on Mali S7 or S6

Create BP BlankProject with starter content, mobile HDR off.
Enable GearVR
Launch from editor to S7 Adreno or Note4 Adreno.

Application shows black screen.
