Description

If a skeletal mesh has a section disabled the ray traced shadow will flicker when the camera or itself moves.

Previously in 5.6.0 no raytraced shadow would appear if a section was disabled.
This was fixed in CL#44391072 addressing [Link Removed] Closed for 5.6.1 but now flickers.

Steps to Reproduce
  • Enable Ray Tracing and Ray Tracing Shadows
  • Duplicate and Edit the Default Manny mesh, and in LOD 0 disable the first section by right clicking disable on the section.
  • Place into world
  • PIE
  • Move the camera around and notice the flicker of the shadow

Attached Repo Project using 5.7.1 EGL.
Disabling Anti aliasing helps avoid some of the TAA smear.
