A licensee is reporting some unexpected behavior when attempting to replace references on Foliage Types already painted in the world.
What happens after the references have been replaced, are the newly consolidated Foliage Type has not added an instance of the Foliage Type that was replaced to its properties. Also, when going to paint using the newly consolidated foliage type, it only paints the 'consolidated from' asset, and not the one being shown in the thumbnail.
It is hard to tell if this behavior is completely expected or not because from my understanding, foliage types only references a single static mesh with its foliage settings contained within.
1. Open the attached project.
2. Select both the Foliage Types within the Content Browser (Cone and Cylinder).
3. Right-click > Asset Actions > Replace References
4. Select one of the two and then Consolidate Assets.
5. Choose the Make Writable and Delete option.
Outcome The foliage type that was 'consolidated from' has not been added as a mesh instance into the 'consolidated to' foliage type.
Expected Adopt all the settings from the 'consolidated from' asset including world transforms, but add the instanced mesh to the newly 'consolidated to' foliage type.
