Description

The Material should be contracting and expanding if it is working correctly, but after version 4.16 it is not. Instead it is solid in appearance in the material editor viewport. Below I have linked videos and the the texture that I applied to check if it only happened on some textures.

4.16 CL - 3-3561208 (Does function in)
4.17 CL - 1-3586342 (Does not function in)

Steps to Reproduce

-See the attached videos for for a visual of the blueprints to recreate this

  1. Create a new material
  2. Attach a constant to the Emissive Color node and set it to 0.5
  3. Drag off of the Wold Position Offset node and create a MS_VertexAnimationTools_MorphTargets (this should be plugged into the World Position Offset node which it is not automatically connected to)
  4. Drag off of the Morph Animation node and attatch a Time
  5. Drag off of the Morph Texture Node and attach a Texture Object to this(The texture should not matter for test purposes I have provided the texture I used in the attached files which is from freetextures.com)
  6. Drag off of the Number of Morph Targets node and attatch a constant
  7. Set the constant to 25

Expected: In the material viewport, the material should contract and expand if it is working
Results: The texture is not moving(Expanding and contracting) it looks like it is trying to work but very slowly before everything is connected
