Duplicating a static mesh with foliage attached breaks connection

1. Open a Blank level
2. Add a Basic Cube
3. Switch to Foliage Mode, Single Instance with at least 1 foliage type added
4. Paint a foliage instance on the surface of the cube
5. Switch back to Place Mode
6. Drag the cube, notice after the move, the foliage moves to the same position
7. Right click the static mesh to duplicate (or alt-drag)
8. Move the duplicated cube around and notice foliage doesn't move
9. Move the original cube and see the original foliage move and a duplicate left in its spot
10. Delete both cubes and notice the original foliage is deleted but not the duplicate
