Description

Swapping between output devices with different channel counts can cause sound corruption for sounds that were paused during the device swap call. More info can be found in the linked UDN, along with proposed solutions provided by the UDN client.

Steps to Reproduce

Escalated from the UDN listed in the additional info URL.

  • Play a sound in level, and pause it before it finishes
  • Swap output device to a device with a different channel count
  • Resume the sound

Expected result:

  • Sound should play normally

Actual result:

  • Sound is distorted
