A Nanite primitive casting a CSM shadow on another Nanite primitive with "Cast Shadows" disabled, will have it's shadow disappear completely when r.Shadow.CSMCaching = 1.
- Make sure you are using CSM (disable VSM and RT shadows)
- Set r.Shadow.CSMCaching 1
- Create a scene with a nanite shadow caster, a nanite shadow receiver (cast shadows disabled), and a directional light. No other objects
- Notice the shadow is missing
- Set r.Shadow.CSMCaching 0
- Notice the shadow has re-appeared
