This isn't a bug with the grid. It's an artifact of texture filtering, and can be fixed by using the "Condition Tile Sheet Texture" menu option on the tile set in the content browser.
The Tile Map grid is consistently visible when playing and viewed through Orthographic camera.
The user reporting the issue noted some observations which I can also confirm are occurring in both engine versions mentioned.
"Another thing I noticed is that if I remove the background layer, which is just the flat teal, the artifacts still show but only where the darker brown objects are (eg: the platforms, vines, so on). The defects are in the same locations where they're shown with the background."
The gridlines are apparent even with the show per tile grid, and per layer grid options disabled. I also noticed the gridlines are gone when playing through perspective view mode. I attempted to check editor preferences to disable the grid, but was unable to do so.
1. Open the attached TestProj.zip and open the 'Untitled' map.
2. Press PIE (Play in Editor) or Standalone
3. Observe how the Gridlines are visible even with a flat color background.
Expected: If the Show Tile Grid is disabled, it will not render the grid when playing.
Outcome: Tile grid persists no matter what setting is applied to disable the grid.
