Steps to Reproduce
  1. Create a Level Sequence
  2. Shorten its playback range and save it
  3. Set up a blueprint (e.g. the level blueprint) to export a sequence using the "Render Sequence" node
  4. Edit the Movie Render Runtime Example blueprint to have a custom playback range (on the output settings set Use Custom Playback Range to true and set the End Frame to a different value). You may need to specify an output directory here too, and reconnect some of the BP nodes
  5. Package the game for windows shipping
  6. Launch the packaged game and start the render. (I used begin play to trigger the render for testing)
  7. Navigate to the rendered images

RESULT

The number of frames will match the length of the sequence asset not the custom range specified in the BP.
